Spring Coffee with the Principal & PTSA Meeting: Friday, April 19th


The CHHS PTSA invites you to our Spring Coffee with the Principal and our PTSA Election Meeting on Friday, April 19th at 8:15am in the Lecture Hall.

 

Join us for a cup of coffee as we vote in our PTSA officers for next year and discuss the latest & greatest with Principal Cain including Smart Pass updates, End of Year Activities, 2024 GCISD Bond, and Dress Code Changes for 24-25.

 

All are invited to attend. CHHS PTSA members are eligible to vote.

Reflections Update

Congratulations to Jessie Olsen (12th Grade)
2023-2024 Texas PTA Reflections Award Winner!

  

The Texas PTA received over 800 entries for state-level judging for the Reflections contest. For the High School category, GCISD students received 3 awards, and CHHS student, Jessie Olsen, received 2 of the 3 awards.

 

Jessie's photography entry received an Award of Merit, and her music composition received Honorable Mention. The award levels are: Overall Award of Excellence, Award of Excellence, Award of Merit and Honorable Mention.

 

This is a wonderful achievement as nearly 60,000 students participate in the Reflections program annually and less than 3% of those advance to Texas PTA. Congratulations, Jessie!

Birthday & Graduation Marquee Messages


Are you looking for a unique way to celebrate a birthday, 1/2 birthday, or send a graduation message? Now's your chance to reserve a spot on the CHHS digital marquee on Heritage Avenue!

 

You can secure a spot for your special message. Each message is $10 and will be displayed for 24 hours. Please note that reservations must be made at least 2 weeks in advance & you must be logged into our website to place an order. Messages for the 2023-2024 school year will be available to run from Tuesday, April 16th through Friday, May 23rd.

 GCISD Council of PTAs' Trustee Candidate Forum: Wednesday, April 17th


In preparation for the May 4, 2024 elections, the GCISD Council of PTAs will host its annual School Board Candidate Forum on Wednesday, April 17th, at 6 p.m. in Stewart Hall at the Grapevine REC. The four candidates running for Place 1 and Place 2 will answer questions regarding their background, qualifications, and vision for GCISD.

Do you volunteer in any capacity with a CHHS program? If so, please submit your (PTSA, Booster, etc.) volunteer hours and encourage other volunteers to do the same.
 
PTSA collects the number of volunteer hours so that GCISD can use them when applying for grants and other uses. This log is only parent hours, not students’ Community Scholar hours. Submit your parent hours at this link: https://bit.ly/chhshours
