PTA Bond Resolution Vote

At the upcoming CHHS PTSA meeting on February 12th, PTSA members will cast their vote to either support or oppose a 2024 Bond Resolution, presented by the GCISD Council of PTAs

Information regarding the 2024 GCISD Bond can be found online. This includes a list of bond expenditure recommendations

This resolution represents the initial opportunity for our community to make its voice heard through voting.

On January 22nd, the GCISD School Board decided to hold a $150 million bond election, scheduled for May 4th alongside the 2024 school board candidate election.

CHHS parents, who served on the 2024 Bond Advisory Committee, have been invited to attend our meeting and answer questions.

Make sure your voice counts - attend the meeting and participate in this critical decision for our school district's future!

Straight Talk Watch Party: February 12th at Noon

Through all the uncertainties of parenting in the digital age, one thing is for sure: Smartphones are here to stay. They've unlocked a wealth of knowledge, entertainment, and convenience. But for our children, smartphones have also introduced a bevy of complications for their development and well-being.

Straight Talk '24: Navigating the Smartphone Era is a livestreamed event featuring top-notch panelists discussing how smartphones are impacting our children's minds, bodies, and classrooms.

Please join the GCISD Council of PTAs for a Straight Talk Watch Party and discussion on smartphones in our classrooms.

When: Monday, February 12th, 11:45am-1:15pm

Where: GCISD Professional Development Center (5800 Colleyville Blvd, Colleyville 76034)- Panther Den

What to Bring: Bring your own lunch and learn with us.

RSVP Here

We hope all attendees will leave feeling more educated about the physiological effect of cell phones on children; more knowledgeable of recent research and studies on smartphone use; more understanding of pressures our children are facing; and more empowered to navigate how we use smartphones in our families and schools.
