Volunteers Needed for ACT/SAT Mini Bootcamp on October 9th

The CHHS PTSA is partnering with Chelsea Hall on Monday, October 9th to offer a practice ACT/SAT and mini bootcamp.

We are in need of a handful of volunteers to help the event run smoothly.  Please consider signing up for a volunteer shift. Thank you!

Senior Cookout & Senior Posters

It is time to celebrate the Class of 2024 with our Annual CHHS Senior Cookout! The Cookout is Friday, October 27th, in the CHHS Courtyard during the three lunch periods. All CHHS seniors & senior parents are invited to join us for a burger as we celebrate the Class of 2024!

The Senior Cookout is free and made possible through generous donations to the CHHS PTSA and donations of items from our senior families. Consider signing up to volunteer your time or donate.

Seniors should bring a poster to be displayed during the picnic. Click here for poster instructions.

Questions?  Contact Lisa Pollack, CHHS PTSA Senior Events Chair, at seniorevents@chhsptsa.org.

Reflections Art Program

Reflections has been a staple arts program for over 50 years. Through the efforts of PTA, millions of students have found a creative outlet in the areas of dance choreography, film production, literature, music composition, photography, and visual arts.

Express your artistic talent and tell us how you plan to show your voice through Reflections!

Entries for the 2023-2024 Reflections Art Program must be submitted by November 13th.  For more information, visit our Reflections webpage or contact Kacey Bess, Reflections Chair, at reflections@chhsptsa.org

Senior & Faculty Scholarships

The CHHS PTSA cares about the future, and we want to see our graduating seniors succeed and support our CHHS faculty! Join the CHHS PTSA and apply for a $1000 senior scholarship or a $500 faculty scholarship through Texas PTA. Deadline to apply is November 15th. Visit www.txpta.org/scholarships.

In addition to state scholarships, did you know the combined PTAs in GCISD award over $30,000 annually to GCISD seniors? Make sure to join now so that you qualify to apply for scholarships next spring! Join at www.chhsptsa.org. Applications for GCISD PTA scholarships open in December and are due in February.

Log September Volunteer Hours

Parents, please submit your (PTSA, Booster, etc.) volunteer hours and encourage other volunteers in your organization to do the same. PTSA collects the number of volunteer hours so that GCISD can use them when applying for grants and other uses.

Submit your parent hours at this link: https://bit.ly/chhshours

Thank you for volunteering and supporting our schools! Questions? Contact Mindy Hudak at vpvolunteers@chhsptsa.org.

(This form is only parent hours, not a student’s Community Ambassador hours.)

Pitch In 4 Panthers

We need YOU to Pitch In 4 Panthers

Pitch in 4 Panthers is our single largest fundraising event of the year, and the fundraiser's success determines the level of support the CHHS PTSA can provide our school.

Our goal is $12,000 to support the 175 staff members, 1,800+ students, and 3000+ parents at CHHS.

Pitch in 4 Panthers donations fund:

  • Teacher Classroom Grants
  • Educational Programs for Our Parents and Students
  • Special Events like the Senior Cookout and Reflections Art Program
  • Staff Appreciation Events
  • Senior Scholarships
  • Campus Enhancements & Beautification Projects
  • CHampion Graduation Honor Cords

We thank you in advance for your generosity and support of our parents, teachers, and students! Questions?  Contact Jennifer Shepherd at vpwaysmeans@chhsptsa.org.

Subscribe to Under the Dome

With Governor Abbott calling our state senators and representatives back to Austin for a special session of the Legislature to begin on Monday, October 9th, Texas PTA released their Under the Dome newsletter this week.  Check out the latest issue to stay on top of education-related legislation and laws.

PTA members are encouraged to subscribe to Under the Dome updates here

National School of Excellence

The Colleyville Heritage High School PTSA knows that a strong partnership among our families, school leaders and community members is important to the success of our students and school. That’s why we are participating in the National PTA School of Excellence program, which grows partnerships between PTAs and schools to enrich the educational experience and overall well-being of all students.

We need your help! As part of the process outlined by National PTA, we are requesting feedback from families, administrators and teachers at two points in the school year—the beginning and the end. Using the community feedback, we will build an Excellence Action Plan to strengthen family-school partnerships.

Please take 5-10 minutes to reflect on your experience at this school and complete this survey. Please complete this survey by November 1st.

CHHS PTSA Spirit Store

The Spirit Store is open and has same-day porch pick-up on every item in stock! Grab your long-sleeved gear as the weather begins to cool off.
